So Joe has just completed his first official week of work at his new job. Me too I guess, since now i am going it solo up here in Oregon and Joe is working down in California. We won't be moving down till near the end of school, hopefully. Depending on how soon we can sell the house. Joe gets to come home most weekends right now, but when March and April come around we won't be seeing him at all. :-(
I am so busy right now, getting the house ready to sell that I guess I probably won't notice how much I miss him being around.
To help me get a feel of what his new work place is like, Joe texted me a bunch of photos of his office and work building floor, the 25th floor I believe.
Their floor had been newly remodeled. In fact it was done JUST in time for Joe to start his new job. They get this floor for the next year while their REAL floor (the 26th) gets the same remodeling treatment. It is really nice, and has all the latest technology perks etc.
His new office:
Obviously he just moved in as it is totally devoid of all decor or even tools for the job, or his name on the placard out front.
Part of the kitchen, it feels like a restaurant. Cool beans for him.
The entrance, you can see the elevator area through the doors. The walls are kind of cool because they have quotes written vertically throughout the trees. Kind of fun.
A view from the doors above.
The meeting/social area of the floor:
You can see all of the bins brought up from the other floor, still awaiting their final destination.
I can't remember what he called these desks, but they are essentially landing places for visiting employees from outside the California area.
The cubicles where most of his employees work. They have floor to ceiling windows and amazing views of Lake Merritt and the Oakland Hills. This building is only 27 floors, so they are right near the top of it.
The other side of the kitchen. Very nice.
One other view of the kitchen.
Joe is really happy with his new work space. I am happy that he is happy.
I can't wait to come and help decorate that sorry looking office as soon as we are down there!!
