Painting on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Every year Kaiser does company wide service for the community. Joe's department is always involved in fixing up low income schools. Both last year and this year he took the boys with him and they painted the inside of a school in downtown Portland. I gave Levi the camera and told him to take pictures. Unfortunately only a few turned out.

But here is there experience from Levi's view finder:

Calder, in his fancy Kaiser getup:

I was told that they had the time of their lives painting walls. They certainly came home with enough paint on their clothes to warrant that statement.

A news station was there to film the project. The boys said that the journalist/anchor asked them questions. They said they got to be on TV. Too bad we don't have TV because then they could have actually watched themselves.
Here is the crew in action:

After their painting experience the boys got to go to dad's office. A treat for them, since they had never been there before.
These pictures Levi took out of Joe's office window. He has quite the view:

View of Mt. St. Helens from Joe's window:

Joe's white truck is visible through the trees

I love that Joe gets paid to go have service experiences with our boys! How cool is that?
