This is the price you pay for having a good arm, and not using it wisely.

Ansel has always had a really strong throwing arm, ever since he was tiny. He throws HARD, FAST, and VERY accurately. In baseball this is awesome, in a quarrel. . . . . . not so much. When tempers flare and passions run high, this is not the time for action, or throwing. . . as he soon learned. Who knows what was going through his mind as he aimed, and fired, this small cow at his brother. But, it wasn't brotherly love, that's for certain!
Take note of the shape of the bottom of this cows leg(s), as it comes into play, later in this story.

This cow was an innocent victim too, not choosing to be the weapon of choice, for revenge. Look at her happy face and big smile. She looks like she is witnessing a beautiful sunrise on a warm summer morning, unaware of the damage she just inflicted on a fellow playmate.
Here is the other innocent victim (or not so innocent, as I am sure there was a small bit of provoking on his side of things!!) Take note of the shape of the welt rising on this poor lad's face, and marvel at the precision of the inflicting blow.

Many tears were shed by both parties, one from pain and indignation, the other from getting caught and having "consequences".
This is what parenting is all about folks, having great stories like this to share!

You took a picture of Ansel while he was crying?! Now THAT is funny.
Haha! Yeah, only it was from July. He had fallen down and hurt himself a little bit, but as only Ansel can do.....was dragging it out beyond reason. So, being desperate (and being on the top of Orcas Island) I tried to capture his attention by taking his picture. This was the first picture. The second one he had a big smile on his face! So, it worked! Now, I have a picture of him crying, and look at that a perfect fill for when I need a picture of him crying!!
In fact, if you look in the background, you can see the ocean and a tree!! But, I thought this picture worked perfectly for a good effect!!
YIKES - that is one strong arm!!! Amazing.
Holy smokes! That is crazy. Poor kid. That is one mighty arm! Oh, the joys of parenting.
OMG!! I can't believe how hard he threw it. You got some great pictures of it!! I love the one of him crying. Great story!!
