A Gluten for Candy. . .

This past Easter Weekend we spent in Boise, Idaho with my sister Lani, BJ, my mom and Kurt. It was a lot of fun. We got to see Lani's brand new house (built a year ago), absolutely beautiful, granite counter tops, etc. and spend time messing around. ON the Saturday before Easter we went to the Annual Boise Easter Egg Scramble. It was ENORMOUS! I can't believe how much candy there was. They had 15 adults out their with Huge black leaf garbage bags full of candy and plastic eggs. Just dumping it all over this designated area. Then they let the kids loose, by age groups, so I had to wade through the masses 3 times, once with each boy! They got SOOO much candy I had to stop them and say, that is enough! And we donated all that candy to the BJ and Lani fund (the kids never knew we left it there -- or cared!)

Look at the top of this photo. Can you see the piles of eggs?!?! and Candy?!?

Calder got a million of these strip candies, and then ended up not liking them. Too funny. I even said to him "Are you sure you don't want to get another type of candy too?" He just gave me that look of "don't bother me, I am busy"

Before he discovered he held "yucky" candy!

We didn't have a stroller for Kaelan (no room in the tiny van) so he was passed around

between Daddy

and Grandpa

and Aunt Lani

and Mommy! (notice how he is using my hair for reigns?!) Ouch.

Inspection of the "booty"

The "big" kids had no adult supervision, and it was a MAD house!! Everything goes, but biting in the nose. . . Yikes. Here Levi is grabbing handfuls of CHOCOLATE hershey kisses. He HATES chocolate!! But, it was a frenzy so . . . hee hee hee. Kids. Make me smile.

It was funny with some of the younger kids (who had parental help) the parents were grabbing handfuls of candy and yanking their kids around from one pile to the next. Great example.. ...

Here is the group:

Minus me. . . I am behind the camera ;)

NEXT came:

Coloring Easter eggs!

The best part was, we spent all this time Coloring Easter eggs on Saturday, and then forgot to give them to the Easter Bunny on Sunday to hide! Again, a donation to the BJ and Lani fund!

Kaelan loved finding eggs on the floor! He had so much fun shaking them.

He was even quick to pick up on the "Put in the bag" idea.!
